Residents looking to build green or make green renovations have a few options, and more are slated to come to the area in the near future. Green building is slated to grow in both commercial and residential construction and renovation in 2008, according to the United States Green Building Council Web site. “We’ve already certified 400 homes throughout the country,” Ashley Katz, communications coordinator for the USGBC, said. “A little over 10,000 homes are online to be completed this year, and we are seeing the numbers increase all the time.” [01/16/2008]
